Dear Stonefields Community,
We would like to welcome you to your website.
A small group of community members have banded together to bring you the opportunity to be involved in your community. This website, along with a bi-monthly newsletter, facebook page and the occasional email, will endeavour to keep you updated on all types of matters.
It would be fair to say that since 2008 the area has been transformed from a working inner city quarry into a fantastic place to live. From the first stage 1 development plan through till present day the area still continues to develop and go from strength to strength. In 2010 we saw the development of the so called "Goldsbury Track". Recently resurfaced this linkage from the quarry floor provides access to the area’s most prominent feature ‘Mt Wellington’ and the latter part of 2017 will see another wonderful addition opened up for our use, namely the ‘Heritage Trail’ running around the southern boundary of the quarry wall overlooking the wonderful ‘wetlands’ area that truly makes this little corner of Auckland special.
As a very new community we are delighted to make available for your use, this website, which will serve as a focal point for starting up conversations with neighbors, getting a social activity or club up and running, staying informed about what is happening around you and creating linkages between residents and community activities or issues.
We, as a small group of residents through this website and facebook page look forward to being as informative, relevant and up to date as is humanly possible. This way you will be able to receive the occasional email that will expand on topics touched on in the newsletter and get the full story.
